Lucy choosing gear on Wobblestone Crack

Lucy just before the crux on Wobblestone, with a nice line of gear below her

The clouds look fake, I know, but the weather was gorgeous. The climb is so named as the small block in the middle of the crack in the lower picture rocks as you put your hand on it, but it hasn't moved in 70 odd years. This nicely shows lead climbing, as you can see the rope running up to her and the protection in the crack below.

thanks for sharing these particularly gorgeous pictures of me with the world, especially the first one!

I think you look great, thoughtfully picking which bit of gear to place.
If I had pictures of myself leading I'd use them...

You have a great looking site here - neat, clean and tidy, which I imagine is the way you have to be if you climb.

I am not a climber. I came across you site googling for a climbing image to go with one of my blogposts. This image caught my attention for its sheer ability to convey height and perspective. Nice sky, too.

May I use the picture? If so under what conditions?

Thank you,

Tony
